SDCC Reveals Gorgeous New Avengers Poster To Celebrate 10 Years Of The MCU

In honor of 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, SDCC has released a gorgeous Avengers poster that'll be available at the convention this July.

“There was an idea, Stark knows this, called the Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to fight the battles we never could.”

For anyone with even a passing interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Nick Fury’s rallying war cry from The Avengers is enough to send shivers down the spine. And even after Infinity War, it still rings true, particularly as it’s now left to that OG group of heroes to reverse Thanos’ actions and bring their friends back in Avengers 4.

Yes, it’s fair to say that Stark and co. have been put through the wringer since Jon Favreau’s Iron Man movie first took flight in 2008, and in the intervening years since, we’ve also been introduced to secret utopias (Black Panther‘s Wakanda) and spacefaring A-holes known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. But now, after 10 years of thrilling and entertaining audiences in equal measure, it’s time to celebrate the past decade of the MCU – which is exactly what San Diego Comic-Con has done with the poster you’ll see below.

SDCC has announced the release of a 2018 Souvenir Book which honors all things Marvel and, more specifically, the Avengers. Partnering with Mondo, they created the exclusive print above, which was done by artist Matt Taylor. The cover itself is an “8-color, silkscreen print that is 24” wide by 36” tall, and presented on 100 lb. paper.”

If you want to get your hands on one of these bad boys, they’ll be available to purchase at the Exclusive’s Portal, which opens on June 1st. They are limited, though, so if you’d like to submit your interest to buy one, “the window to do so ends on June 7, 2018, at 12:00 PM (noon) Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).” Furthermore, only those with a Comic-Con 2018 attendee badge associated with their Comic-Con Member ID account are eligible to participate.

The full details can be found over on the Comic-Con website, but rest assured, if you consider yourself a fan of anything and everything relating to the Avengers, you’ll certainly want to add this to your collection.
