Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Sean Gunn Teases Kraglin’s Return To The MCU

Fans are wondering just if and when they'll get to see Sean Gunn's Kraglin in the MCU again, and the actor refuses to confirm or deny anything.

He was last seen in control of the dearly-departed Yondu’s Yaka Arrow, with an impending captaincy of the Ravagers presumably in the post. Sadly though, he didn’t make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, which left fans wondering just if and when they’d get to see Sean Gunn’s Kraglin again. With Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 and Avengers 4 now on the horizon, surely the actor can give away his involvement in the next stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, right?

Being as diplomatic as only an MCU member can be, the Fandemic Tour saw Gunn tell Good Day Sacramento that “I cannot confirm nor deny whether or not I’ll be in the next Avengers movie.” You can roll your eyes now.

Of course, he will be in the next Avengers movie, just as he was the last. The trouble is, though, you won’t recognize him, as he’ll be buried under several layers of computer wizardry, as he also provides the motion capture performance for the Trash Panda himself: Infinity War survivor Rocket Raccoon.

More helpfully, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 writer, director and Sean’s brother, James Gunn took to Twitter to confirm recently that Kraglin’s still around despite Thanos’ finger snap wiping out half of the universe. “He has important stuff to do and all will be eventually revealed,” Tweeted Gunn.

Presumably, Rocket Racoon and Nebula will need a new crew before the re-emergence of Drax the Destroyer and Star-Lord (both Dave Bautista and Chris Pratt have confirmed their involvement in the threequel), hopefully alongside Groot and Gamora (although the latter’s looking unlikely). Sean Gunn’s coyness is most likely to avoid him getting beaten up by his brother, but we’ll certainly be watching and waiting with interest to see where he shows his face next.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is due to start shooting in January 2019 and as soon as we get some confirmation on Kraglin’s involvement in either it or Avengers 4, we’ll be sure to let you know.
