Cameras are now rolling on Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, and director James Gunn has said that casting is complete – but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few actors we haven’t heard about yet.
Heroic Hollywood reports that Scottish star Tommy Flanagan will play a Ravager in the sequel, and will actually be Yondu’s (Michael Rooker) right-hand-man. In the first film, that role seemed to be filled by Kraglin (Sean Gunn), so perhaps that bit of info is wrong, or Yondu’s simply got himself a new first mate.
An earlier rumor suggested Yondu will actually join the Guardians in this next movie, and HH also have an extra tidbit that may shed some light on why his crew split apart. According to them, “the Ravagers have a bounty out on Rocket Raccoon which causes conflict within the group,” so maybe this is what prompts Yondu to jump ship to his buddy Star Lord’s gang? Time will tell.
Flanagan should be recognizable to most of you as he’s popped up in many movies and TV shows over the years – most recently on Fox’s Gotham, and he had a main role on biker drama, Sons Of Anarchy.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 hits U.S. theaters on May 5th, 2017.
