Here’s What Guy Pearce Could Look Like As The DCEU’s Reverse-Flash

There are many comic book villains that fans would love to see arrive in the DC Extended Universe over the next few years. Right at the top of that list, though, is Reverse-Flash, the nemesis of Barry Allen's Scarlet Speedster. But who should play the role? In the past, people have imagined actors as diverse as Kevin Bacon, Michael C. Hall and Dan Stevens stepping into the character's shoes. But this new piece of fan art throws another big name into the ring.

Reddit user TheBatFlashHunter2 shared a design of what he imagines British-born Australian actor Guy Pearce might look like if he was to nab the part of Eobard Thawne opposite Ezra Miller in the upcoming Flashpoint. It’s an interesting choice, too, as Pearce has already played a comic book movie villain, showing up as Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3.

Unfortunately, due to no real fault of the actor’s, his character is often vilified by fans as it turned out that he was the real Mandarin, in a hugely controversial plot twist. Given that, we’d be open to seeing what Pearce could do with a more fleshed-out villain in another comic book film.

You can check out TheBatFlashHunter2’s design, along with those other ones we mentioned, in the gallery below:

After years stuck in development, Flashpoint appears to be finally ready to go now that we learned John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Spider-Man: Homecoming) will be directing the pic. As for Reverse-Flash showing up, well, it’s been rumored that he’ll appear – how could he not, after all? – but won’t be the only villain the Flash will have to face in the film.

It’s thought that several of the Rogues will also feature, including Killer Frost, Captain Cold and Heatwave – who fans of The CW’s The Flash will be familiar with – as well as Dr. Light, who could be the big bad of the piece. Of course, with casting yet to get underway, we’ve no idea who’ll bring all these folks to life, but tell us, if the studio were to go with Guy Pearce for Reverse-Flash in Flashpoint, would you be on board with it? Let us know in the usual place.
