Henry Cavill Shares New Behind The Scenes Video From Justice League

Coming off arguably their most detrimental misstep yet in the form of Justice League, Warner Bros. doesn’t appear too concerned about the tumultuous past of the DCEU. What with James Wan confirming via Twitter late last week that the first Aquaman trailer will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con next month, Shazam! supposedly set to follow suit, and production on Wonder Woman 1984 officially underway, the divisive shared universe isn’t easing off the gas.

Going forward, beyond the fourth live-action film to feature Diana of Themyscira (Gal Gadot), of course, the DCEU is very much up in the air. Given the long-rumored departure of Ben Affleck from the role of Caped Crusader, and Ray Fisher understandably “very upset” with how Cyborg was handled in Justice League, Warner Bros. certainly has their work cut out for them.

Nonetheless, the American entertainment company does seem to be making some headway regarding Man of Steel 2, finally, and apparently, Superman himself, Henry Cavill, is ready to don the red cape once again. The British actor took to his official Instagram account earlier today and posted a behind the scenes look at the Justice League stunt team bringing “Supes to life.”

Accompanied by John Williams and Hans Zimmer “raising him to those lofty heights,” in the short clip – which you can check out below – Cavill can be seen suspended in mid-air, giving life to Kal-El in a flying sequence. The Mission: Impossible – Fallout actor even claims he channelled “a little bit of Spiderman” to achieve the illusion of flight.

With San Diego Comic Con fast approaching and Warner Bros. “eager to get Man of Steel 2 off the ground,” an announcement confirming the long-delayed sequel could be imminent. After all, filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie has reiterated his willingness to helm the picture and clearly, Cavill is game, too – so be sure keep your eyes peeled.
