Rebels Get Their Wings In New Character Posters For The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

The marketing campaign for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 has done a fabulous job at both teasing the new dynamic and tone of the upcoming penultimate installment, while giving everything a propaganda-like spin. We've seen some eerily creepy messages from Panem President Snow, and an intriguing teaser showing off the broken but war-ready District 13 that perfectly play like a message war between Katniss' allies and The Capital.

The marketing campaign for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has done a fabulous job at both teasing the new dynamic and tone of the upcoming penultimate installment, while giving everything a propaganda-like spin. We’ve seen some eerily creepy messages from Panem President Snow, and an intriguing teaser showing off the broken but war-ready District 13 that perfectly play like a message war between Katniss’ allies and The Capital.

The next step in the marketing plan kicks things up a notch with a series of “Rebel Warriors” character posters, that show off new and familiar faces geared up for war. There’s Katniss’ longtime friend Gale (Liam Hemsworth), the deadly-looking Cressida (Game of Thrones‘ Natalie Dormer), her assistant Messalla (Jeff, Who Lives at Home), Katniss’ bodyguard Boggs (House of Cards alum Mahershala Ali), and brothers Castor and Pollux (The Help‘s Wes Chatham and Daredevil‘s Elden Henson, respectively), who act as Cressida’s cameramen.

Things sure have become more serious since Catching Fire‘s “Capital Couture” and “Victory Tour” ads.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 revolts its way into theaters on November 21st, 2014. Check out the new posters at the link below, along with the film’s synopsis, and let us know what you think of them in the comments section!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I is the first movie in the two-part finale of The Hunger Games franchise, based on the books by Suzanne Collins. In this chapter we follow heroine Katniss Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence) journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.
