Tinseltown’s love of all things prehistoric continues to romp forward. Twenty years since Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park advanced cinema technology and brought the terrifying creatures to the big screen, we still can’t get enough as this latest domestic trailer for Walking With Dinosaurs 3D is here to keep audiences poised for further dinosauric action.

Following on from last month’s international trailer, Fox have crafted a new preview for U.S. audiences. Adding on a voiceover appears to be an attempt to make the film more palatable. It spoon feeds the film to viewers. Fair play to Fox. They’re keen to capture a youthful audience who force their parents to watch all four Ice Age movies incessantly on repeat.

Walking With Dinosaurs 3D comes from director Barry Cook. He helmed Arthur Christmas and Mulan. This time he joins up with Neil Nightingale to share directing duties. Nightingale is no stranger to 3D nature features. He’s currently working on Enchanted Kingdom 3D; a majestic look at Earth which via harnessing 3D tech will bring the beauty of the world to the big screen. And all those massive scary fish from the ocean deep. Like those ones in Finding Nemo. Yeesh.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

For the first time in movie history, audiences will truly see and feel what it was like when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. “Walking with Dinosaurs” is the ultimate immersive experience, utilizing state of the art 3D to put audiences in the middle of a thrilling and epic prehistoric world, where an underdog dino triumphs to become a hero for the ages.

From a script by Happy Feet writer John Collee, the flick looks set to secure the title of best family film at Christmas. Walking With Dinosaurs 3D opens in Europe on December 18th before it hits U.S. and U.K. cinemas on December 20th.
