Earlier today, Empire officially released a new batch of images from David Ayer’s upcoming DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad. Now, even more stills from the highly anticipated release have surfaced, and they put the focus on a number of other villains, including lesser known Task Force X members Slipknot and Diablo.
Of course, even better than that is the very cool team shot we get of the Suicide Squad, along with a new look at Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Deadshot (Will Smith), and The Joker (Jared Leto). Some of these are actually scenes from the movie, while a couple of from behind the scenes, but they’re all awesome and well worth taking a look at in the gallery above.
A movie about a group of villains is certainly a unique premise, and if it works, the face of comic book movies could change in a huge way moving forward. For one, you’d have to believe that Marvel and Sony will reconsider forging ahead with Drew Goddard’s Sinister Six.
Time will tell, of course, but if nothing else, Suicide Squad looks pretty freaking fantastic right about now.
