We were told by J.J. Abrams himself that the recent trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens would be the last one we’d see – but it turns out that wasn’t strictly true! This Japanese version contains so much new footage that it might as well be a brand new trailer.
It follows pretty much the same beats, but there’s a lot more dialogue and character interactions between the likes of Rey, Finn, and BB-8. We also get to see more of the villainous Kylo Ren, Princess Leia, and C-3PO. Plus, there are some incredible new action shots, some additional lightsaber action, and Chewbacca blowing some stuff up for good measure.
Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18th, 2015.
