Interstellar Trailer Teases A Stunningly Ambitious Film

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we have good reason to be excited for this fall's Interstellar. Hailing from Inception director Christopher Nolan, it stars a jaw-dropping collection of award-winning stars, including Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Matt Damon and Michael Caine. Additionally, its visual effects will surely rank among the best of the year, and its story is more ambitious than practically any other we've seen in theaters in recent memory. All in all, we're convinced it will be a force to be reckoned with at the Oscars next year.

So, it’s greatly exciting to see the latest trailer for Interstellar, which premiered at Comic-Con a few days ago and has now made its way online. Though there isn’t a ton of new information about the story, the preview does showcase more of McConaughey’s character and reveals more scenes set in the far reaches of space. Also included: Michael Caine gravely reciting “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night,” which for the record should be how that poem is always heard from now on, and shots of an icy chasm (presumably on some far-flung planet). There’s also a better sense of how Stanley Kubrick influenced this movie, as Nolan has repeatedly said the 2001: A Space Odyssey director did.

Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow and Topher Grace co-star in Interstellar, which is described as follows:

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Interstellar opens November 7th. Check out the new trailer below, or surf on over to a better HD version at interstellarmovie.com, by putting the access code 7201969 in at the prompt.
