Coming to us by way of Bloody Disgusting, the gallery below offers a candid peek behind the curtain, as you’ll see writer-directorĀ Andy Muschietti pull the strings ā€“ quite literally, as it were, asĀ there’s even a still of Pennywise emerging from a dilapidated fridge ā€“ on set.

It’s also a beautiful, if horrifying showcase ofĀ Bill SkarsgĆ„rd’s performance as Stephen King’s ancient demon. Bringing Pennywise to life wasn’t easy, of course, and SkarsgĆ„rd recently admitted that, four long months after the film’s release, Pennywise continuesĀ haunts his dreams from time to time. And with his fuzzy crop of ginger hair and razor-sharp teeth, you can hardly blame him.

Here’s a reminder of those special features, with a Director’s Cut to follow later in the year. Word is it’ll feature several additional scenes of the Losers’ Club, as Derry’s fearless youth band together in the face of unspeakable evil.

ItĀ is now available onĀ 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and regular ol’ DVD (Amazon has it for only $24.99),Ā and it’s perhaps the perfect appetizer for It: Chapter Two. Slated for September of 2019, the sequel will welcome viewers back into the quaint town of Derry, Maine for one final confrontation with Stephen King’s shape-shifting demon.
