Julia Roberts And Kristen Stewart May Enter The Snow White Universe

I really don't understand this current Snow White craze going on in Hollywood. I never really loved the original but it looks like I'm in the minority. There are three Snow White films currently in production. That's right, three. First is Relativity Media's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, second we have Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman and finally we have Disney's Snow and the Seven. Today, we received updates of two of the three films. First up is The Brothers Grimm: Snow White. Apparently Julia Roberts is all but confirmed for the role of the Evil Queen. Her reps are in negotiations with the studio and they are very close to signing a deal.

UPDATE: Julia Roberts has been confirmed for the role.

I really don’t understand this current Snow White craze going on in Hollywood. I never really loved the original but it looks like I’m in the minority. There are three Snow White films currently in production. That’s right, three. First is Relativity Media’s The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, second we have Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman and finally we have Disney’s Snow and the Seven.

Today, we received updates of two of the three films. First up is The Brothers Grimm: Snow White. Apparently Julia Roberts is all but confirmed for the role of the Evil Queen. Her reps are in negotiations with the studio and they are very close to signing a deal.

Next we go to Snow White and the Huntsman where the role of Snow White may have been cast. Apparently Kristen Stewart, like Julia Roberts, is all but confirmed for the role. She is in negotiations and it shouldn’t be long before we hear confirmation.

As for the third Snow White film, Disney’s Snow and the Seven, no casting news on it yet but we do know that Toy Story 3 scribe Michael Arndt will take care of the screenplay.

So there you go, a healthy fix of Snow White information. Once again, not sure what the current craze is all about but I find it kind of funny. The question is, who will have the best film?
