Gearing up for its September 21st release is Dredd 3D, the upcoming reboot of the classic comic book character. Through various stills, trailers and early screenings at Comic-Con, the film has built up a considerable amount of anticipation, and deservedly so.

Stepping into the titular role is Karl Urban and most critics are saying that his portrayal of the character is better than that of Sylvester Stallone’s, who portrayed the character back in 1995.

Just in case you’re still on the fence about who’s the better Judge, Sly or Karl, today we have a new clip for you that while brief, does show off our beloved hero delivering his classic line: “I am the law.”

Admittedly, I think his delivery his better than his predecessor and from everything we’ve seen, I think Urban and director’ Pete Travis’ attempt to make the character so non-empathetic is really working out well.

If nothing else, the film will provide some gritty, gory, B-movie action that will at the very least, be very entertaining. I, for one, am really looking forward to seeing the film and I hope it does well, as I’d like to see the planned sequels.

Dredd 3D opens in U.S. theaters on September 21st, 2012. You can check out the clip below.
