Now that February is upon us, we’re little over a month – one single, measly month – away from the arrival of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and with it, the defining turning point for Warner’s DC Expanded Universe.
It’s a hefty burden to shoulder, though considering that Zack Snyder’s superhero feature welcomes both the Caped Crusader and the Last Son of Krypton in key roles, all signs point to a truly titanic encounter that’s ready to foot the bill.
MORE NEWS FROM THE WEB
With vast swathes of footage already out in the open, the latest sizzle reel to arrive for Dawn of Justice is an all-new international trailer. Featuring much of the scenes and indeed action sequences we’ve seen before – only spliced together in a slightly different way – there isn’t much to pick apart when it comes to new footage. Nevertheless, it’s a healthy reminder that the ensemble piece is barrelling down on its anticipated release window.
Continuing the cavalcade of promos and interviews from 2015, last month brought forth insightful talks with Zack Snyder and his leading cast members. From Gal Gadot portraying a reluctant hero through Diana Prince to Amy Adams reprising her role as Clark Kent’s human love interest, if anything it showcases just how complex and multi-faceted Dawn of Justice really is, and the big test will surely be whether the film can avoid buckling under its own weight.
All questions will be answered when Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice swoops into theaters on March 25, 2016. It’ll be followed by a much more chaotic and colorful installment in the DCEU five months later in the form of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.
