It follows on the mutant heels of yesterday’s TV spot, itself showing another “power piece” included in Apocalypse‘s lineup: Alexandra Shipp’s Storm. Together, they form two instrumental parts of the Four Horsemen, a band of super-charged mutants governed by Oscar Isaac’s title supervillain in his quest for global annihilation. Michael Fassbender and Olivia Munn round out that formidable foursome, and we can surely expect both Magneto and Psylocke to receive individual character featurettes in the coming days.

Gunning to stem that chaos are James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Nicholas Hoult as Beast.

X-Men: Apocalypse is poised to make its mighty bow on May 27. For the latest peek into the origins of Oscar Isaac’s malevolent deity, check out the newest TV spot, below.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
