Margot Robbie Talks About Her “Creepy, Violent, Crazy” Harley Quinn In Suicide Squad

2016 is going to be an incredibly exciting year for superhero movies, though it might just be the one which revolves around a team of villains which is the most eagerly anticipated right now. David Ayer's Suicide Squad will assemble iconic DC Comics bad guys like The Joker, Killer Croc, Deadshot, and Harley Quinn all in the same movie, and Margot Robbie's take on the latter has generated a lot of buzz.

2016 is going to be an incredibly exciting year for superhero movies, though it might just be the one which revolves around a team of villains which is the most eagerly anticipated right now. David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will assemble iconic DC Comics bad guys like The Joker, Killer Croc, Deadshot, and Harley Quinn all in the same movie, and Margot Robbie’s take on the latter has generated a lot of buzz so far.

In what will no doubt be a movie stealing performance, The Wolf of Wall Street star looks set to bring Harley Quinn to the big screen in the most authentic way possible, and her description of the Suicide Squad character proves just that:

“Harley is creepy, violent, crazy — all of the things that I aspire to be! No. It’s the fun of living vicariously through someone who is doing things that I would never do in real life.”

That sounds like a perfect take on The Joker’s sidekick, and as fun as it’s going to be to see Harley interacting with the Clown Prince of Crime, Robbie reuniting with her Focus co-star is just as exciting:

“I enjoyed working with Will so, so much that I was overjoyed when I heard that we would be working together again. I actually texted him when I heard he was in negotiations to be in Suicide Squad and kept peer-pressuring him, ‘You’d better be taking this movie!’ He obviously signed on for his own reasons, but I was so incredibly happy that we got to do Round Two. He’s awesome on set and awesome off set. He’s just a really, really good person.”

Rumour has it that the two characters will embark on some sort of romantic relationship in Suicide Squad, and seeing as they had such great chemistry the last time they worked together, any scenes featuring both Harley Quinn and Deadshot should be particularly exciting.
