Celebrate 10 Years Of The MCU With Epic New Marvel Banner

On the heels of Marvel's class photo, the studio has premiered a suitably epic banner image showcasing the heroes of the MCU.

May 4th, 2018 is a day that will be long remembered among comic book fans, as it’ll signal the launch of Avengers: Infinity War – the event movie to end all event movies.

That’s a historic feat in and of itself, and one that has evidently caught the industry’s attention, but Marvel Studios is on the verge of commemorating another movie milestone – a decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Yes, it’s going on 1o years since Jon Favreau’s Iron Man first took flight on May 2nd, 2008 – for those in North America, at least – and the Powers That Be have now kicked off their year-long celebration of all things Marvel, beginning with a class photo (see above) of the MCU’s creative figureheads. Front and center is Kevin Feige, the brains behind the operation, who can be seen sitting next to Robert Downey Jr., everyone’s favorite genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.

Elsewhere, RDJ’s Iron Man is thrust into the limelight for Marvel’s heroic banner image, which is designed to honor the first 10 years of the MCU. And here’s to 10 more.

It’s a suitably epic showcase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its many heroes. From Iron Man to Iron Spider, Groot to Vision, this gilded banner is arguably the perfect companion piece to the studio’s celebratory featurette, which assembled all of the MCU’s key players – both behind the lens and in front – for a super-sized class photo. And don’t be fooled into thinking that Ant-Man and the Wasp have been left on the sidelines, as the latter is hovering above Gamora. Meanwhile, Scott Lang is perched on top of Rocket’s blaster.

And you can expect most (if not all) of those costumed crusaders to feature when Avengers: Infinity War swoops into theaters on May 4th.
