New Leak Says Marvel Already Has Plans For Two Major Fox Characters

After months of negotiations, the Disney/Fox shareholder vote is set to be undertaken tomorrow, which means that Marvel Studios could be about to swallow up Fox's X-Men universe, as well as the rights to the Fantastic Four. With that in mind, a new leak suggests that the studio's already got plans forming for what they could do with this influx of a whole host of fresh characters.

In particular, it’s said that Marvel is looking at introducing Galactus and Silver Surfer into the MCU. Both Norrin Radd and the Devourer of Worlds were last brought to the screen over ten years ago in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, so it would certainly make sense to deliver new versions of Galactus and his Herald. What’s more, the character could make for an excellent next big bad for the MCU in Phase 4, following Thanos’ presumed defeat in Avengers 4.

This shouldn’t come as too much of a shock, either, as for a while there it looked likely that Silver Surfer was going to appear in Avengers: Infinity War in a brief cameo. This was later cleared up as just a rumor, with it rightly pointed out that Disney and Fox were not in a position at that stage to share characters. It did, however, show that there’s an interest from fans in seeing Radd in the MCU.

Though this leak comes from a trusted source that shared the details on the Superhero Hype Forums, which are moderated carefully, and has since been corroborated by the writers of StarWarsNews.net, it’s still worth taking it with a pinch of salt for now. After all, it clashes with what Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told us, which is that he isn’t thinking about how to integrate Fox’s characters into the MCU just yet.

However, if you were in Feige’s position and you knew the Disney/Fox deal was on the brink of being signed, wouldn’t you start wondering what you were going to do with this whole extra segment of the Marvel universe that was coming your way? And what’s coming our way, apparently, is Silver Surfer and Galactus’ arrival in the MCU.
