While a small little indie film you may have heard of called Avengers: Infinity War is currently hogging most of the Marvel-related spotlight, the studio does have some other exciting releases coming down the pipeline. Namely, Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is on course to crawl into theaters on July 6th.

Headed up by director Peyton Reed, who found great success with the original Ant-Man back in 2015, this pint-sized sequel has all the makings of the perfect, light-hearted tonic to Marvel’s super-serious and apocalyptic Infinity War. And it’s coming sooner than you may think.

In fact, as of Wednesday, March 28th, Ant-Man and the Wasp is exactly 100 days out from its theatrical release, and the Powers That Be over at Marvel Studios have unleashed a new promo to prove it. It doesn’t contain any new footage, per se, and is more of a reminder that, yes, there’s still life for the MCU beyond Avengers: Infinity War, but it’ll surely please fans nonetheless.

Story-wise, and not unlike Black Panther before it, we know Ant-Man 2 will pick up shortly after the events of Captain America: Civil War, which, in turn, explains the duo’s absence from Infinity War. They’ll presumably be ready to join the fight by the time Avengers 4 rolls around in 2019, by which point the two-part battle against Thanos will be nearing its conclusion.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is expected to take flight on July 6th, and all signs point to a deep dive into the Quantum Realm to locate and potentially rescue the long-lost Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), who was once known as the original Wasp before her daughter, Hope (Evangeline Lilly), got her wings three years ago. Stay tuned for more.
