Marvel Studios On The Hunt For Strange Sounding Alien Extras For Avengers: Infinity War

As of right now, very little is known about what we should expect from Avengers: Infinity War. There are plenty of rumours out there and enough speculation to drive you mad, but the signs are all pointing to Earth's Mightiest Heroes teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to take on Josh Brolin's Thanos.

Regardless of whether the action takes place primarily on Earth or in outer space, aliens showing up is a given, and Marvel Studios has now put out a casting call for extra terrestrial extras.

“Aliens: We are now taking submissions to be considered for a fun background role on this upcoming movie. Looking for men and women, all ethnicities, who appear 18 – 50’s, who are TALL with a SLENDER or athletic build. MUST be comfortable being PAINTED (including on your face & any exposed body parts). Also looking for people willing to have prosthetics applied to their face, in addition to being painted. Bumps will be provided for makeup & prosthetic applications.”

There are so many different alien races in the Marvel Universe that it’s impossible to figure out who exactly the studio is looking for here. It sounds like they’re probably humanoid in appearance, but with prosthetics set to be used to alter their appearance, who knows? Either way, it’s now clear Avengers: Infinity War has some big surprises in store for us.

In The Avengers, Thanos unleashed a Chitauri army, but they were brought to life with motion capture effects. Sadly, Marvel doesn’t hold the rights to the Skrulls, so it’s probably not them, but the Kree is probably a strong possibility after they were teased in Guardians of the Galaxy and due to the fact they have ties to Captain Marvel’s origin story.

Hopefully more details will be revealed soon, especially with Avengers: Infinity War shooting set to take place throughout 2017. Until further information arrives though, feel free to speculate in the comments section down below.
