Marvel Teases Doctor Strange’s Blu-Ray Debut With New Trailer

After proving to be Marvel's biggest single character launch to date, an impressive feat to be sure, there's no doubt that a lot of people are eager to revisit Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange. After all, with the studio having their hands full with a number of projects at the moment - Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, to name but a few - it may be a while before we get a proper sequel.

That being said, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer now to see Benedict Cumberbatch back in the role of the Sorcerer Supreme, as he’ll be showing up to help the God of Thunder in Thor: Ragnarok. Before then, however, fans can catch Doctor Strange again when the film lands on Blu-ray next month, February 28th, when it’ll arrive with a whole handful of awesome special features.

To promote the upcoming release, Marvel has now dropped a new trailer. Coming in at just under a minute, it teases some of the more explosive scenes from the smash hit while also showing off that aforementioned February release date. There’s nothing new or noteworthy in here, but it’s still a nice reminder that in less than a month, we’ll be able to own the film and re-visit it as often as we’d like.

As for what the future holds for Doctor Strange, well, like we said above, a sequel is still a ways away. That doesn’t mean it’s not on people’s minds, however, as the various parties involved have all been talking it up and it’s certainly just a matter of when and not if at this point.

Until we get confirmation on that though, we can look forward to the upcoming Blu-ray release as well as the Sorcerer Supreme’s future MCU appearances in Ragnarok and Infinity War – though from what we’ve heard, his role in the latter may not be too large.
