Now that the two leads are set for Marvel’s Ant-Man, with Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas taking the starring roles, the rest of the cast is starting to fill out. According to The Wrap, Michael Pena has been offered a part and he’s definitely interested it taking it. Unfortunately, there are no details on who he would play, but rumors point to him having a villainous role.
While we don’t know for sure which role Pena might tackle, we do know that Rudd is set for Scott Lang and Douglas will portray Hank Pym. Of course, Pym’s partner Janet Van Dyne will also appear in the film, but that part has not been cast yet. However, both Rashida Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard are said to be circling, though nothing has been made official.
As I mentioned above, it appears that Marvel is looking to round out the cast list quickly and things are finally starting to fill out for this project. I imagine we’ll be hearing a lot more on who will be playing who in the near future and as soon as we receive any updates we’ll be sure to let you know!
