Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: Our Horror-Themed New Year’s Resolutions!

Alas, another year has come and gone, but momentary endings come with new beginnings and fresh opportunities, letting us start clean once again. With that said, I have no intention of starting over anything, and neither does my partner Remy, as we see 2014 as a chance to grow, reach even farther, and make the awesome year of 2013 seem uneventful compared to the hard-rocking, face-melting, awe-inspiring year of 2014. I can feel it people! If you thought 2013 had some highlights, just wait for 2014 - to quote lyrical virtuosos Tenacious D, we're here to "rock your f@#king socks off!"

Nato – Review 100+ Horror Movies In 2014

This is more of a personal goal for me, but horror is my genre, and I want horror fans who share the same enthusiasm to have a plethora of horror reviews worth perusing here at We Got This Covered. There are SOOOOOO many horror titles released each year, which I found out the hard way in 2013, realizing I’d written a little more than 90 horror reviews alone – on top of all the others. Doing actual statistical work, horror made up about a third of my total reviews – and there were STILL movies I missed.

Horror is a bit of a bastard child genre, as some sites don’t even bother to review the mainstream releases – let alone the smaller independent productions that sometimes end up topping “Best Of” lists from true genre fans. Horror was my focus in 2013, but come 2014, I seriously want it to take over. Sure, this means I’m going to be watching some atrociously abysmal horror movies of the likes no one should ever partake in – but that’s exactly why I do this. So you don’t have to, thinking, “Oh look, a random zombie movie streaming through Video On Demand – let’s give it a try!” Won’t you be happier when Matt Donato’s already got a review for it, albeit the single lone review over at Rotten Tomatoes? If I can save you a few bad watches and recommend the right titles, then my job is done horror fans – I’m here for you!

Hell, how hard can it be? That’s only 2 horror reviews a week, and I’ve already got three under my belt in the first week of 2014, so here we go people – are you ready for this? I think I need a nickname though. Sure, I typically go by Nato, but there’s already mainstays like Uncle Creepy and Mr. Disgusting – what’s my professional horror nickname?! (Suggestions in the comments will be taken into consideration.)
