Gorgeous New Ant-Man And The Wasp Poster Unites The Duo

A brand new Ant-Man and the Wasp poster teases the film's dynamic duo, who we'll soon get to reacquaint ourselves with when the sequel lands this July.

With its tongue-in-cheek humor and lighthearted spectacle (that super-sized Hello Kitty Pez dispenser is a particular highlight), one could argue that Ant-Man and the Wasp is the perfect antidote to the doom and apocalyptic gloom of Infinity War.

After all, Peyton Reed’s sequel promises twice the fun and another breathless monologue from Michael Peña’s lovable Luis when it makes a beeline for theaters on July 6th, meaning it should act as a great palate cleanser after the devastating finale of Joe and Anthony Russo’s aforementioned event movie.

Bursting with personality and fresh ideas, all of which revolve around Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly’s tiny, titular heroes, we’re really liking what we’re seeing from Ant-Man and the Wasp so far and today, the marketing blitz continues with a brand new international poster for the pic, which places the spotlight firmly on its dynamic duo.

What’s particularly interesting about the upcoming sequel is that it’s said to have some stronger ties to Captain Marvel (and Avengers 4!) than we’ve been led to believe, and it all has to do with the much talked about Quantum Realm – which could also be the key to defeating Thanos. Granted, Ant-Man 2 takes place well before Infinity War, but again, it’s all connected and there will be some ties here to both past and upcoming Marvel films.

But we digress. As the studio’s final movie of 2018, and after the back-to-back success of both Black Panther and the aforementioned Infinity War, it’ll be fascinating to discover if Reed’s follow-up experiences a boon in box office receipts, given it’s opening under the shadow of what is essentially Marvel’s biggest film yet.

Expect Ant-Man and the Wasp to make a beeline for theaters on July 6th – in the US, at least. Right now, it’s not scheduled to hit the UK until August 3rd, but a recent fan petition just might change that.
