New Images Show Off Suicide Squad’s Extended Cut

The Extended Cut of David Ayer's Suicide Squad is now available on Digital HD and as expected, there's been an overwhelming amount of footage from the film pouring out onto the internet. One quick search on YouTube will reveal numerous deleted and extended scenes, featuring moments that were ultimately cut from the version we saw in theatres. Granted, there's been nothing groundbreaking to emerge just yet, but it is nice to see some of the stuff that was left on the cutting room floor.

The Extended Cut of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is now available on Digital HD and as expected, there’s been an overwhelming amount of footage from the film pouring out onto the internet. One quick search on YouTube will reveal numerous deleted and extended scenes, featuring moments that were ultimately cut from the version we saw in theatres.

Granted, nothing that’s emerged has been particularly groundbreaking, but it is nice to see some of the stuff that was left on the cutting room floor. For those of you who haven’t had the chance to check out the new Extended Cut yet, we’ve got a nice little collection of photos in the gallery above for you to feast your eyes on. They tease some of the deleted scenes that’ve been added back into this new cut and show off most of Task Force X in the process.

There’s a lot of Harley Quinn and The Joker here, as they make up a significant part of the new footage, but we also see Deadshot, Killer Croc, Katana and even a cameo from Ayer himself. As we mentioned before, the Extended Cut won’t drastically change your opinion on the film, but a few of the additional scenes do bring a little more depth to some of the characters, which is certainly welcome. As such, even if you weren’t exactly a fan of Suicide Squad the first time around, we’d still suggest checking this new cut out.

After all, with an impressive $745.5 million take at the box office (which should be enough to warrant a sequel) and that Harley Quinn spinoff still in development, it’s clear that Warner Bros. isn’t planning on getting rid of Task Force X any time soon. And that’s fine by us, as David Ayer’s entry into the DCEU may have hit a few bumps, but there was definitely enough to get excited about in Suicide Squad that we’re willing to stick with the property as it develops further.

What about you, though? Are you willing to give the “Worst Heroes Ever” another chance with this new Extended Cut? Sound off below and let us know!
