New Photo Reveals The Villain To Be Featured In Logan

With the third Wolverine movie having recently been revealed as being simply titled Logan, one would only surmise that Hugh Jackman's swan song as the iconic mutant will be deeply personal and get to the heart of the character. But, as with any superhero movie, one of the biggest questions on peoples' minds is in regard to which villain(s) he will battle.

With the third Wolverine movie having recently been revealed as being simply titled Logan, one would only surmise that Hugh Jackman’s swan song as the iconic mutant will be deeply personal and get to the heart of the character. But, as with any superhero movie, one of the biggest questions on peoples’ minds is in regard to which villain(s) he will battle.

Over the past few days, several mysterious teaser photos have been shared via social media, the latest showing Boyd Holbrook with the caption “Pierce.” Now, this is most likely Donald Pierce who has some colorful history with the X-Men, to say the least. His involvement with the cyborg gang known at The Reavers – who were already heavily rumored to be appearing in the film – does nothing but allow more pieces of the puzzle to fall into place.

It’s also worth noting that Pierce has history with the Hellfire Club, which moviegoers may remember as the group Kevin Bacon’s Sebastian Shaw led in X-Men: First Class. While it remains to be seen if the filmmakers are willing to go that deep with the Pierce character, it would make the franchise feel as though it’s come full circle.

We also can’t help but wonder if this means Lady Deathstrike will be joining the mayhem. Yes, she was already brought to life by Kelly Hu in X2: X-Men United, but don’t forget that Days of Future Past rewrote the timeline, allowing for various characters to be completely recast. Case in point: Channing Tatum waiting in the wings to headline a constantly delayed Gambit movie.

Do keep in mind that several actors involved in the project have roles that are yet to be disclosed by the studio, so anything is possible. After all, we still don’t know who exactly is playing Mr. Sinister, but many eyes have turned toward Richard E. Grant.
