With filming now underway on the Queensland, Australia set of Thor: Ragnarok, set photos are starting to spill out at an alarming rate. It was only yesterday that we saw a batch that featured stars Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth along with an exciting photo which hinted at a Doctor Strange cameo.

Now, the threequel is making headlines again with another group of set photos that give us our first look at Anthony Hopkins’ Odin in the film (in addition to one more shot of Hiddleson and Hemsworth).

Like the shots from yesterday, it seems like the scenes being filmed here are taking place in New York (or at least, a set that’s made up to look like New York). This is significant because it seems to confirm rumors from earlier in the year, which told us that by the time Thor: Ragnarok rolls around, Odin has already been down on the ground for a while, “wandering Earth as one of those crazy-looking ‘the end is nigh’ street-corner hobos, warning of the impending apocalypse.”

That description certainly appears to match the photos above, and while nothing has been confirmed by Marvel just yet, we’re certainly starting to get eager to see what they have in store for us with the threequel, now that all these tantalizing set photos have been rolling out.

Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok will storm into theatres, hammer in hand, on November 3rd, 2017 and is directed by Taika Waititi, who’s in charge of a cast that include Hemsworth, Hiddleston, Hopkins, Idris Elba (Heimdall), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Karl Urban (Skurge), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster), Cate Blanchett (Hela) and possibly, Samuel L. Jackson.
