You don’t have to look at too many Worst Films of the Year list to know that DC’s cinematic output took a hell of a beating in 2016. While their respective box office numbers were nothing to scoff at, the same cannot be said for the final products. And though that’s not to say that they’re without their fans (for better or worse, I’ll continue defending Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, though not so much Suicide Squad), it’s safe to say most audience members hope next year’s Wonder Woman finally brings justice to the impending Justice League.

While we have a whole six months before we know if that’s the case, Warner Bros. still knows how to promote the hell out of their movies and today, we get another glimpse into Diana Prince’s overdue cinematic showcase. If you’re looking for action, you’re not going to find it in this latest still, as it sees the titular hero on horse heading straight towards battle.

It doesn’t reveal a whole lot, but it’s yet another reminder that WB is aiming for something a little more grounded and approachable with this rather mythological superhero character. Whether that’s for the best or for the worst, like many assume, is ultimately still unclear, but here’s hoping for the greatness the character deserves.

The image arrives as part of a long-form piece regarding the legacy of DC’s most famous heroine. Included in that piece is the announcement that the United Nations dropped Wonder Woman as an honorary ambassador for equality champion. What that means is left rather unclear.

As for the film itself, Wonder Woman makes her way into theatres on June 2nd, 2017. It finds Gal Gadot reprising her role after Batman V Superman earlier this year, and co-stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, Danny Huston and Lucy Davis.
