Nicole Kidman And Chiwetel Ejiofor Face A Tragedy In New Clips For FBI Thriller Secret In Their Eyes

STX Entertainment may not have an Oscar contender on its hands with the soon-to-be-released Secret in Their Eyes remake – a shame, really, considering its starry cast – but the production house has today rolled out a bevy of images and clips for the FBI thriller.

Shedding light on the film’s dark and mysterious plot, the images underline the three leading players in the Billy Ray-directed picture, including Nicole Kidman, The Martian‘s Chiwetel Ejiofor, Dean Norris of Breaking Bad fame and Julia Roberts. Indeed, it’s the latter piece of the puzzle who acts as the focal point of Secret in Their Eyes, after the abrupt murder of her daughter fractures the tight-knit crack squad of FBI investigators where she works.

What ensues is a long and gruelling crime case involving just about everyone in town, and Roberts and Co. fight tooth and nail in order to bring the killer to justice as her character searches for an inkling of salvation. Written and directed by Billy Ray, Secret in Their Eyes may not attract the attention of the Academy in a few months’ time, but all signs point to the filmmaker dishing out an entertaining thriller, even if it doesn’t stand should-to-shoulder with, say, Denis Villeneuve’s Prisoners.

Secret In Their Eyes will find Julia Roberts searching high and wide for her daughter’s elusive murdered when Billy Ray’s thriller opens on November 20.

A tight-knit team of FBI investigators, along with their District Attorney supervisor, is suddenly torn apart when they discover that one of their own teenage daughters has been brutally murdered. Written and directed by Academy Award® nominee Billy Ray (Captain Phillips, The Hunger Games), and produced by Academy Award® winner Mark Johnson (Rain Man, “Breaking Bad”), Secret In Their Eyes is an intense, powerful, haunting thriller starring Academy Award® nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Academy Award® winners Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts.
