It seems as though that pesky Golden Tablet of Pharaoh Akhmenrah is at it once more after a new trailer for 20th Century Fox’s Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb was brought to life late last night. Thankfully, this latest footage has survived beyond the spell’s nocturnal cycle and is available to watch for your viewing pleasure.
Starring Ben Stiller as everyday man Larry Daley, the upcoming threequel has been billed as a trilogy-capper, one which will take the escapades to the city of London as Larry and the gang pursue a means to salvage the magic of the tablet before it fades away forever. Joining him on his quest are series regulars Owen Wilson, Steven Coogan and a performance from the late, great Robin Williams.
Directed once again by Shawn Levy, Secret of the Tomb will be the third and final installment in 20th Century Fox’s beloved franchise and will hope to avoid the pitfalls of 2009’s Battle of the Smithsonian and, ultimately, send the series off on a resounding high note.
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb will roar into theaters on December 19th, 2014.
