Here’s Your First Official Look At X-Men: Days Of Future Past

Thanks to Empire and EW, we now have our first official look at Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. The ambitious sequel is set to incorporate time travel and alternate realities in order to bring together both the cast from X-Men: First Class and the cast from Singer's original trilogy. It's a neat idea that will only succeed if Singer is able to execute it properly. Otherwise, it may become a bit of a mess.

Thanks to Empire and EW, we now have our first official look at Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. The ambitious sequel is set to incorporate time travel and alternate realities in order to bring together both the cast from X-Men: First Class and the cast from Singer’s original trilogy.

It’s a neat idea that will only succeed if Singer is able to execute it properly. Otherwise, it may become a bit of a mess.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until Tuesday for the first trailer but for now, at least we can feast our eyes on a whole bunch of new photos, which you can check out in the gallery below.

As you’ll see, we get a glimpse of almost all of the main mutants, including James McAvoy’s Professor Xavier, Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, Ellen Page’s Kitty Pryde, Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique and of course, Hugh Jackman looking totally badass as Wolverine. That’s not all though as we get some behind the scenes shots as well, like the one of Singer directing Patrick Stewart.

It’s all very exciting stuff and with expectations sky high for this one, due to Matthew Vaughn’s tremendously impressive work on its predecessor, Singer certainly has a lot to live up to. Then again, he’s proven himself with the series before and with a cast that includes the above mentioned actors, plus names like Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Nicholas Hoult and more, I’d say that the sequel is in pretty good hands.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will arrive in theatres on May 23rd, 2014. Check out the photos below and let us know what you think in the comments section. Be sure to check back on Tuesday as well for the first full trailer.
