New Photos From The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Hint Towards More Villains

We haven't seen a whole lot of footage yet from Marc Webb's upcoming sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. There was a bit shown at Comic-Con, which leaked out onto the web but was then quickly removed, and there was also a quick tease of Jamie Foxx as Electro. Aside from that though, we really haven't seen anything. What we do keep seeing though is photos from the film and today, we're receiving a couple more shots, one of which hints at even more villains for Spidey to contend with.

We haven’t seen a whole lot of footage yet from Marc Webb’s upcoming sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. There was a bit shown at Comic-Con, which leaked out onto the web but was then quickly removed, and there was also a quick tease of Jamie Foxx as Electro. Aside from that though, we really haven’t seen anything. What we do keep seeing though is photos from the film and today, we’re receiving a couple more shots, one of which hints at even more villains for Spidey to contend with.

If you check out our gallery below, you can see a close-up of Stan Lee, some additional looks at Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan holding a camera, a hooded Electro and then there’s one of a warehouse with the words “Sinister 6” on the front, referring to the highly rumored villain supergroup that Webb is building towards.

Of course, the filmmakers could just be messing with us but I think it’s safe to say that Webb and his team are throwing us a major hint towards the fact that yes, there is a reason that they’re adding so many villains into The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and that’s because they are going to be bringing in the Sinister 6 for either the third or fourth film in the franchise.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings into theatres on May 2nd, 2014. Check out the photos below and let us know what you think. Are the Sinister 6 on the horizon, or is Webb just trying to cause a stir online?
