First Posters For Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Released

After releasing the first trailer for their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, Paramount has now gifted us with the first set of posters for the film, providing one for each of the titular turtles: Leonard, Donatello, Michaelangelo and Raphael. Of course, what we see here is nothing more than a tease, as the character's faces are hidden and we see only see their hands, which is kind of a bummer.

After releasing the first trailer for their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, Paramount has now gifted us with the first set of posters for the film, providing one for each of the titular turtles: Leonard, Donatello, Michaelangelo and Raphael. Of course, what we see here is nothing more than a tease, as the character’s faces are hidden and we see only see their hands, which is kind of a bummer.

That being said, the weapons in each of the turtle’s hands are very representative of the characters and it makes sense to feature them prominently in the marketing. Plus, we didn’t really get much of a look at the turtles in the initial trailer, so it’s not much of a surprise that Paramount is still holding back on that aspect of the film.

Personally, I’m still a bit on the fence with this one. I wasn’t blown away by the footage in the trailer but I was certainly intrigued. The studio seems to be trying really hard to sway those who are still on the fence and so far, I think that they’re on the right track. Until I see a bit more from the movie though, I’m going to remain very cautiously optimistic. After all, it’s a Michael Bay-produced reboot, need I say more?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman and stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg and the voices of Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub. The film is set to roll into theatres on August 8th. Check out the trailers below and let us know which hand looks the most menacing to you.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
