In order to prepare you for Ridley Scott’s The Counselor, 20th Century Fox has released two new photos and a brief but tantalizing clip from the film.
Seen above, the first photo features a very worried looking Michael Fassbender, who plays the titular Counselor. He seems to be looking for Penelope Cruz’s character, as he appears to be showing a picture of her to someone. The second photo, seen below, shows off the aforementioned Cruz also looking worried, probably speaking on the phone to Fassbender.
As for the clip, it actually isn’t in the final cut of the film, so think of it as a deleted scene. In it, we see Diaz riding around in her car with a cheetah in the backseat. Javier Bardem seems intrigued by this and the two engage in a conversation full of suggestive innuendo. It’s interesting, to say the least.
For those who are unaware, The Counselor stars Michael Fassbender as a lawyer who finds himself in over his head when he gets mixed up in drug trafficking. Written by acclaimed author Cormac McCarthy, the film arrives with a strong R rating for “grisly images, graphic violence, strong sexual content, and language.” So that should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect with this one.
The Counselor hits theaters this Friday, check out the photos and clip below and let us know if you’re excited for the film. Also, be sure to check back later this week as we’ll have our full review for you.
