Promo Posters For Robert Rodriguez's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For & Machete Kills

The first posters for Robert Rodriguez‘s next two films, the highly anticipated Sin City sequel Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, and the sequel to his 2010 hit Machete, Machete Kills, have been released.

Many people thought that the long-awaited Sin City sequel would never happen, simply because it nearly happened so many times before yet was never quite able to take off. Luckily though, the film received the official greenlight not too long ago and though details are still trickling in, the first promo poster above should be enough to keep fans excited.

It is unclear how many of the original cast will be returning but we already know that Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson and Michael Madsen will be back. Whether Sin City favourites like Clive Owen, Michael Clarke Duncan and Jessica Alba will return is still unknown though. That being said, their characters are integral parts to the sequel so it’s likely that we’ll see them show up in the film.

As for Machete Kills, there was a small surprise with the poster. Jessica Alba‘s name was left off it, which makes us wonder if she’ll be returning. She was never 100% officially confirmed but it seemed very likely that she’d come back. Of course, she may be back but just not on the poster but you’d assume that if Jessica Alba was in your film, you’d want to advertise it. Maybe her part has just been scaled down for the sequel?

Machete Kills begins shooting in a matter of days in Texas and stars Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez,  Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Demian Bichir, Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill begins production this Summer.

Both films are likely to be released in 2013.

Check out the posters below.
