Rachel McAdams And Noomi Rapace Face Off In New Poster For Passion

Brian De Palma’s next offering, Passion, has been on the boil for 18 months now. Its two leads were confirmed back in December 2011, and the first image from the film was released way back in May 2012. So why has it taken so long to reach our cinema screens? It debuted at the Venice Film Festival last September, then went on to play at a number of other big international festivals. Perhaps mixed reviews are the reason why it has languished for the better part of a year. Now it looks like things are hotting up though as a new US poster has landed.

From the man who has made a career of putting women in dangerous situations, De Palma is doing it again after a five year break. For this psycho-sexual romp, Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace will share the screen in an age-old tale of ambition, greed and of course, sex. The two Sherlock Holmes thesps will battle it out as corporation employees for whom competition means nothing is off limits when it comes to getting what you want.

McAdams and Rapace are two of the strongest actresses working today and make anything they appear in watchable. You can determine for yourself if they’ll make De Palma’s latest worth viewing by checking out the new poster and the film’s trailer below.

Passion is available in the US via On Demand on August 1st and lands in theatres on August 30th.

Brian De Palma returns to the sleek, sly, seductive territory of Dressed To Kill with an erotic corporate thriller fueled by sex, ambition, image, envy and the dark, murderous side of PASSION. The film stars Rachel McAdams (Midnight In Paris, Sherlock Holmes, Mean Girls) and Noomi Rapace (Prometheus, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) as two rising female executives in a multinational corporation whose fierce competition to rise up the ranks is about to turn literally cut-throat.
