The Raid: Redemption Trailer

The setup is simple, just like the poster says: 1 ruthless crime lord, 20 elite cops, 30 floors of hell. In case you can't piece it together, here's what it works out to. 20 elite cops raid the building of a notorious crime lord. They must go through each floor in search of their target. Unfortunately for our fearless cops, the crime lord knows that they are there and he's not going down without a fight.

Badass isn’t a word I throw around very often. Ok, maybe it is, but this film honestly defines the term.

Today we have a trailer for The Raid: Redemption, or as it was previously known, The Raid. This is a film that has been earning a ton of buzz lately, very positive buzz that is. I’ve heard so many good things about it and I’m seriously itching to check it out.

Frankly, The Raid: Redemption looks wicked-awesome, which is another phrase I don’t toss out too often. The action looks nuts and from what I’ve been hearing, if you’re an action fan, you’re going to have one hell of a good time with this one.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

The Raid: Redemption will be released in select theaters on March 23, 2012.

As a rookie member of an elite special-forces team, Rama (Iko Uwais) is instructed to hang back during a covert mission involving the extraction of a brutal crime lord from a rundown fifteen-story apartment block. But when a spotter blows their cover, boss Tama (Ray Sahetaphy) offers lifelong sanctuary to every killer, rapist and thief in the building in exchange fortheir heads. Now Rama must stand in for the team’s fallen leader (Joe Taslim) and use every iota of his fighting strength – winding through every floor and every room to complete the mission and escape with his life.
