Russell Crowe Talks Man Of Steel, Confirms Krypton Visit

It's hard to believe that Man of Steel isn't too far off now. Excitement is starting to mount and some of the secrecy that has shrouded the project is starting to be peeled back. So far, I can't say I'm wildly impressed but I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Zack Snyder and company have cooked up. And speaking of what they have cooked up, while doing press for his new film Broken City, Russell Crowe has revealed some new details on the film.

It’s hard to believe that Man of Steel isn’t too far off now. Excitement is starting to mount and some of the secrecy that has shrouded the project is starting to be peeled back. So far, I can’t say I’m wildly impressed but I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Zack Snyder and company have cooked up. And speaking of what they have cooked up, while doing press for his new film Broken City, Russell Crowe has revealed some new details on the film.

First up is confirmation that the film will definitely visit Krypton. While this was assumed, Crowe’s words are the first official confirmation, so that’s good to hear. He also went on to say that Superman will be “super sonic.” You can check out his full quote below.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing it, it’s a massive undertaking,” said Crowe. “It takes you on the ground to Krypton, it takes you to a planet where the sun is four times larger than ours and you get to experience that stuff and if you’ve seen the trailers you realize that this Superman is not just floating through the air held up by a wire, this Superman is super sonic. I’m really looking forward to the way that people will respond to it.”

Sounds pretty exciting, right? Snyder is quite a visionary director and I’m curious to see what he’s come up with for Krypton. I’m sure it will be visually dazzling and likely on par with the visuals from his other films.

Finally, Crowe also said the first review of the film has arrived. It’s from a financier of the film so it could be biased but apparently it was full of praise, with Crowe stating that this person has been sending him “gushing emails” about the film.

Man of Steel soars into theatres on June 14th, 2013. Are you looking forward to the film? Excited to see what Zack Snyder has come up with? Let us know in the comments below.
