Ryan Reynolds Shot A Logan Promo As Deadpool With Stan Lee

Next month, Hugh Jackman will don the adamantium claws one final time for James Mangold's Logan. It's set to be an absolutely electrifying outing for the character and early reviews are praising it as one of the best comic book movies of all-time. As such, it seems that we're in for pretty something special, but one thing that we know it will not include is a cameo from the Merc with a Mouth.

Though early rumors pointed to Ryan Reynolds shooting a scene for the threequel, Mangold quickly put paid to that idea, as did Deadpool writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. And while they certainly weren’t lying, there was one important detail that they left out.

According to notorious tipster El Mayimbe, Reynolds definitely did shoot something for Logan, but it wasn’t a cameo. Instead, it was a promo featuring Stan Lee, and it’s set to arrive online soon.

Unfortunately, he wouldn’t say what exactly the promo involves, but you can bet that it’ll be a lot of fun for fans and will no doubt send the internet into a frenzy once it debuts. We don’t have an exact date for when that’ll be just yet, but given that the film hits theaters in under two weeks, it’s got to be soon.

The interesting thing to note here is that seeing as Lee is involved, it seems like this footage may have originally been included in the movie at some point. After all, we do know that Mangold was planning to have a few cameos, so it’s entirely possible that this was in an early cut of Logan and then removed once it was realized that it would have clashed with the more moody and somber tone of the story.

Either way, we’re excited to find out what it involves and are thankful that we’ll get to see the two heroes together on screen again before Jackman retires from the role for good.

Logan claws its way into theaters on March 3rd.
