Of course, there are a number of key actors who will likely skip the former film for its untitled sequel (and vice versa!), such as Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and the titular duo of Ant-Man and the Wasp – providing Scott Lang isn’t stowed away in the official IMAX poster for Infinity War, of course.

But there’s two other Ant-Man stars who’ve been tipped for roles in Avengers 4 – and no, sadly one of them is not Michael Peña’s Luis. Instead, we’re learning that Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp, and Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, are both booked in for an appearance of some sort in the 2019 sequel.

Sebastian Stan appears to have revealed this interesting tidbit to The Independent, name-dropping Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer while teasing a scene that apparently featured almost every hero in the film.

There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there. I can’t really talk about that scene, but I knew it took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there. You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there.

Given that the actor doesn’t specify which movie he’s talking about here, we suppose there’s a chance he might be referring to Infinity War, but that’s highly unlikely. After all, there’s been nothing to suggest that Hank or Janet will be involved in this month’s superhero extravaganza. Instead, it’s looking as if Marvel will hold fire and wait until Avengers 4 before throwing Ant-Man and the Wasp (both the original duo and their successors) into the mix.

Then again, there may be some sort of very small role, or perhaps a cameo for Paul Rudd’s beloved hero, but as for the rest of the gang, we wouldn’t expect to see them show up when the lights go down in theaters for Infinity War next week. Still, it’s good to know that they’ll all be there for Avengers 4 and we’re excited to see how they factor into the story.
