New Stylized Posters And Images For Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

Because of the upcoming onslaught of superhero movies promising to dominate cinemas for the next few months, it's easy to forget about one comic book film in particular: Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Robert Rodriguez's sequel to the 2005, pulpy noir-injected Sin City looks like it will have all of the elements for a bloody good time at the movies. However, one has to wonder how excited audiences are to see it, considering the first film came out nearly a decade ago.

Because of the upcoming onslaught of superhero movies promising to dominate cinemas for the next few months, it’s easy to forget about one comic book film in particular: Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Robert Rodriguez’s sequel to the 2005, pulpy noir-injected Sin City looks like it will have all of the elements for a bloody good time at the movies. However, one has to wonder how excited audiences are to see it, considering the first film came out nearly a decade ago.

For those who are ready to revisit the bloody, grim, and highly stylized titular city of corruption and hard-boiled action, you’re in luck. A Dame To Kill For not only looks and sounds like the original, but Rodriguez has gathered quite the cast this time around. Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Lady Gaga and Eva Green join original cast members Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, and Powers Booth.

Today, a few new images have arrived, which show off a bruised and battered Joseph Gordon-Levitt and tough-guy Josh Brolin. On top of that, we have two new character posters as well, highlighting the return of Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba via some cool illustrated one-sheets that look like they’ve fallen right out of Frank Miller’s comic book.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For hits theaters on August 22nd.
