Sixth Trailer For Transformers: The Last Knight Is Loud, Brash And Full Of Explosions

Paramount has rolled out the sixth and surely final full-length trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight and it is, unsurprisingly, filled with Bayhem.

We’ve had scintillating TV spots and VFX-heavy sizzle reels steeped in the rich history of Transformers, but today brings forth the sixth (!) full-length trailer for Michael Bay and Paramount’s juggernaut sequel, Transformers: The Last Knight.

With little under two weeks to go until D-day, the studio’s marketing machine is operating at full pelt, and up above you’ll be able to feast your eyes on the latest international stinger that is loud, brash and full of explosions…because of course it is. Altogether, this is the sixth full-length trailer for The Last Knight, and though it’s a fair bit shorter than its eye-popping predecessors – one minute and 32 seconds, to be precise, whereas previous promos have stretched past the two-minute mark – it’s a wonder that there’s still any new footage left to show on June 21st.

One way or another, even if Michael Bay’s tentpole will go down as the fifth entry in Paramount’s lucrative series, Transformers: The Last Knight heralds the beginning of a new chapter in the sci-fi saga in the sense that, thanks to the studio’s writers room, there are seemingly plans in place for multiple spinoff movies going forward. That rapid expansion begins with the release of the Bumblebee-centric standalone pic in 2018, which has set Travis Knight to direct and, possibly, Pitch Perfect alum Hailee Steinfeld to headline.

There’s also chatter of a sixth mainline Transformers film, though it remains to be seen whether Michael Bay pulls another U-turn and returns at the helm. The filmmaker has once again made claims that The Last Knight will be remembered as his last hurrah, but after flirting with the possibility of helming a Transformers spinoff, it’s safe to assume that Bay still has enough mileage for one more ride.

When old friends become new enemies and the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Bumblebee and the gang look to the past in the hope of saving the future. Transformers: The Last Knight opens worldwide on June 21st.
