The classic tale of Snow White has found itself in a bit of a transformation with the latest theatrical version promising to update this fairy tale and give audiences something new to hold on to with Snow White and the Huntsman.

The film sees Snow White (Kristen Stewart) and her dwarf army going head to head with the evil queen (Charlize Theron) who has brought tyranny to her kingdom due to her obsession with beauty. In order to secure her place as “the fairest of all,” the queen sends a mysterious warrior, the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) after Snow White.

The trailer makes it pretty obvious that there’s some sort of attraction taking place between the hunter and the hunted, but where does this leave Prince Charming (Sam Claflin)? Everyone knows how the original story goes, Snow White and Prince Charming live happily ever after. Does the Huntsman put a kink in that plan? What do you think?

New images released this week unfortunately don’t answer the above question. Instead, they reveal a close-up of Snow White, the Huntsman with a solid cast of dwarf rebels, and Queen Ravenna looking positively threatening.

The film co-stars Ian McShane, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, and Johnny Harris as the dwarves.

Snow White and the Huntsman is heading to theaters on June 1, 2012! Check out the photos below.
