Prisoners is set to touch down in theatres on September 20th and after an excellent showing last week at the Toronto International Film Festival (you can check out our review here), the buzz and hype surrounding it is considerable. Today, to further said hype and buzz, Warner Bros. has released five new clips from the film, which do a great job of giving us an idea of what to expect.

I was lucky enough to screen the film last week at TIFF and while I really enjoyed it, a flawed ending almost derailed the entire thing. I say almost because as much as I didn’t like how the movie wrapped up, and the twists that the story took, it was still hard to deny just how good the rest of Prisoners was.

The performances are uniformly excellent, Roger Deakins’ cinematography is beautiful and Denis Villeneuve’s direction is strong and confident. It’s a really solid film and one that I highly suggest checking out when it hits theatres. There’s no doubt that it will also be garnering some awards attention over the next few months.

Stay tuned as we’ll have several interviews with the cast of the film that we’ll be putting up soon. For now though, check out these new clips from Prisoners below and let us know what you think in the comments.
