The Spider-Man Suit In Avengers: Infinity War Is Too Fantastical To Exist In Real Life

According to star Tom Holland, he couldn't actually wear the Spider-Man suit on the Avengers: Infinity War set, as it was too fantastical to exist in real life.

We all have our favorite superhero suits, but Marvel might have just found one to surpass them all. According to Heroic Hollywood, Spider-Man’s suit in Avengers: Infinity War is so fantastical that it had to be digitally added into the film. In other words, it’s not a real suit simply because it can’t be.

At the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter is given an upgrade by Tony Stark, and we all know that Stark’s history with suits is fantastic, with the genius inventor always striving to be over the top. As such, it makes sense that he’d make a Spider-Man suit so crazy that it couldn’t actually be created in real life.

Tom Holland tried to explain to audiences on The Graham Norton Show what it was like to be wearing a suit that, in reality, wasn’t actually on him, saying:

“Essentially, in this film, I have a new suit, which Tony Stark gave me, its an upgrade, and it’s too fantastical to exist in real life. I have to wear pajamas, I wear these pajamas with balls on them that light up. It’s super cool. It’s not. I’m on set with the Avengers who are wearing costumes that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, made by the best seamstresses you can imagine, and I’m there in a suit made by Marks and Spencer.”

The Graham Norton Show was also the first time Holland had seen his costume for Avengers: Infinity War and he was obviously surprised by what it look liked. After all, who wouldn’t be? I’m sure Tony Stark goes a bit more complex than pajamas with tennis balls on them.

With less than a month to go until the release of the event movie to end all event moviesMarvel fans are getting understandably excited and now, we can add one more thing to look forward to: seeing Spidey’s crazy new suit, which has been dubbed the Iron Spider.
