Spider-Man Meets Star-Lord In New Avengers: Infinity War TV Spot

A new promo for Avengers: Infinity War has surfaced tonight and it teases the moment when Spider-Man meets Star-Lord for the first time.

“So, to become an Avenger, are there like trials or an interview?”

With two MCU credits already to his name (read: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Tom Holland is gearing up for his biggest Marvel role to date: Avengers: Infinity War.

It’s a cinematic crossover 10 years in the making, but on the ground level, a handful of fans are now beginning to wonder whether Holland’s Peter Parker can be classified as an Avenger after downing the Vulture and fighting alongside Team Iron Man during the throes of Civil War. Well, according to the man himself, yes, he can be. Or at least, he calls himself one in the new promo up above.

Though far from the best quality, this latest bit of footage actually contains some new material, including the moment when Peter meets Peter. Or, should we say, when Spider-Man meets Star-Lord. The teenage vigilante and the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy will come together as part of Iron Man’s group, and here, we see Chris Pratt’s fan favorite seemingly going on the offensive as he grabs Spidey and asks who he is, to which Tom Holland’s hero replies, “I’m with the Avengers, man.”

Thankfully, Thor’s there as well and explains to Star-Lord that they’re Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, presumably before he asks Mr. Quill to join them in their fight against the Mad Titan Thanos. We know from a previous promo that that initial conversation doesn’t go too well, but we’ve no doubt that the Guardians will eventually come around and join up with the God of Thunder and the rest of the gang.

And while the promo ends shortly after that, there’s no reason to be disappointed, as there’s now less than two weeks to go before we get to see the real deal. Yes, it’s almost here folks. Avengers: Infinity War will be with us on April 27th and we can hardly wait.
