Seen below, we have John Boyega’s Finn, Daisy Ridley’s Rey and Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose. Given that this shot isn’t taken from The Last Jedi itself and is just a promo image, it’s hard to say if it really reveals anything important. Admittedly, it probably doesn’t, at least not on first glance, but when it comes to a movie like this, we’ll take what we can get. Besides, it’s a cool photo and gives us yet another look at new character Rose, which is certainly welcome.

Check it out for yourself below and see what you make of it:

One thing to point out is that given that Lucasfilm has decided to pair these three together for the photo, fans are already speculating that it could indicate Rey may meet up with Rose at some point. That remains unconfirmed, but it wouldn’t surprise us if the Jedi in training lends a hand to her friends in the rebellion. After all, she does have a bruise over her eye here, suggesting that she may have gotten in on the action that’s set to take place on new planet Crait, which acts as the backdrop for this image.

Again though, that’s just speculation and the fact that Rey and Rose are pictured together here may mean nothing at all. We’ll simply have to wait and see if these two characters ever end up coming face to face in the film itself.

For the third December on the trot, Lucasfilm’s space opera is poised to dominate the festive period thanks to the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But can it reach the dizzying box office heights of The Force Awakens ($2.06 billion)? Time will tell.
