Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Blood-Red Posters Get The LEGO Treatment

Remember those striking, blood-red posters for Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Well, they've now been recreated...in LEGO form.

Such is the pent-up excitement swirling around Star Wars: The Last Jedi that its ominous first teaser, one that graced the interwebs in the aftermath of April’s Celebration event in Anaheim, has inspired a number of wonderful re-creations.

From Wahyu Ichwandardi’s intricate, retro-inspired gem to a 16-bit video that framed The Last Jedi as though it were a computer game, Rian Johnson’s sci-fi sequel has already captured the imagination of Star Wars fans the world over, and the latest imitation comes in the form of blood-red LEGO posters.

Inspired by The Last Jedi‘s crimson one-sheets – one-sheets that evidently dovetail with the aesthetic of the film’s logo, which is a marked departure from the yellow-tinged Star Wars titles of old – below you’ll find the likes of Luke Skywalker, General Leia Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, Rey, and John Boyega’s Finn being placed under the spotlight. It’s a fun spin on the sequel’s slender marketing campaign, and should come as a welcome tonic to those reports hinting at dark missions and an outlandish chase sequence aboard Canto Bight.

That casino city, one populated by the rich assholes of Lucasfilm’s galaxy far, far away, looks set to feature quite heavily in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and just yesterday, tie-in merch for Rian Johnson’s space opera appeared to unveil Canto Bight and its “swift, lightweight” police speeders.

Further details on that merchandise line will likely be unveiled on Force Friday, the annual Star Wars-themed event set to take place on September 1st. Perhaps then we’ll catch wind of the film’s first full trailer? You’ll know as soon as we do.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is on course for a release on December 15th. Looking further afield, Disney is also fostering the development of a Han Solo anthology pic and Episode IX, the latter of which will be directed by Colin Trevorrow of Jurassic World fame.
