After the lid had been kept firmly shut on the movie for months and months, the last few weeks have suddenly seen an influx of leaks concerning Star Wars: The Last JediConcept art has teased a new type of Stormtrooper, Battlefield II images imply Rey will get a new lightsaber and tie-in merchandise revealed Snoke’s guards. Now, some details about an upcoming LEGO set tease a major showdown between Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren.

According to Promo Bricks (via Star Wars News Net), one of the new sets features Kylo Ren’s TIE Fighter – something that we’ve known will be introduced in the movie for a while now. What’s more interesting though is that the set comes with two mini-figures – one of Ren and one of Luke. This heavily suggests that the uncle and his nephew will engage in battle at some point during Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

This is hardly surprising, as fans have long suspected that a fight between the two would happen. Previous rumours have even pointed to Ren discovering Ahch-To, the remote planet on which Rey found Luke. Considering the fact that Ren’s a former protege of Luke’s turned evil, we’re expecting this battle to callback to the end of A New Hope, when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader faced off against each other.

We just hope that the scene won’t end in Luke’s death, like many are predicting. That being said, we also wouldn’t put it past Kylo Ren to murder the iconic hero, seeing as he already killed his own father back in The Force Awakens. However their showdown concludes – assuming there even is one – we imagine it’ll be one of the film’s highlights and can’t wait to see these two square off.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is directed by Rian Johnson and will blast into theatres from a galaxy far, far away on December 15th. Those across the pond and indeed in select parts of Europe can look forward to welcoming the galactic sequel a little ahead of schedule (read: December 14th), and if you’re wanting to tread further into rumor territory, Tuesday uncovered some new looks at Snoke’s guards.
