Disney’s Star Wars Resort Reveals First Look Photos

The Mouse House has peeled back the curtain on its upcoming Star Wars resort, which looks to be the stuff dreams are made of.

Thanks to the combined success of The Force Awakens, Rogue One and The Last Jedi – not to mention all of the excitement generated by Solo – Star Wars, as a brand, is arguably more popular than it’s ever been. And things are just getting started.

Not only has Rian Johnson been placed in control of an entirely new trilogy at Lucasfilm, but the Powers That Be recently appointed David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (Game of Thrones) for another Star Wars series that will presumably exist as its own standalone venture, and therefore independent from the current Skywalker Saga.

But for all of the company’s dizzying plans, Disney’s franchise owes its extraordinary popularity to the Original Trilogy, and the Mouse House is ready to honor that legacy with a spectacular new addition to the Walt Disney World Resort. Aptly titled Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, this resort looks to be the stuff dreams are made of, allowing curious fans to live out all their Star Wars fantasies in one fell swoop.

Star Wars Disney Park

There’s currently no mention of when the park will open, nor how much it’ll cost, but Disney is expected to share additional details over the coming weeks and months. Whatever the case, based on the dedicated website, Star Wars fans are in for a real treat when this resort opens its doors for the first time.

The immerse experience offered at this hotel will stand out among all of our resorts around the globe. As you can see, families visiting this resort will board a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during their voyage through the galaxy – and every window has a view of space!

The resort will also be seamlessly connected to the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a complete Star Wars experience. Guests visiting the resort will be welcome to participate as a resident of the galaxy by dressing in Star Wars-inspired attire.

Pretty cool, no? Elsewhere in that far-away galaxy, we know Star Wars legend Mark Hamill is about to take his first steps…onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame, while J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio are now in possession of a script for Episode IX.
